Children are natural explorers. They touch, observe, question, experiment, imagine and test — before anyone teaches them a method for it.
Then, gradually, the reward changes. Getting to the right answer quickly starts to matter more than wondering about the question. It's nobody's fault — it's simply what a system built around assessment optimises for.
